Our next guest is one of the most fun internet entrepreneurs you’ll ever meet…

He is my all time favorite Emcee when it comes to getting the crowed fired up to be at a live event… That’s why, when I hosted my very first live event he was the first person that came to mind for the emcee spot… and he did not disappoint.

Brenda and I have know this guy for several years, and not only is he one of the most genuine (and nicest) guys in all of internet marketing…

He’s also one of the best at selling big ticket items over the phone, and he’s DEFINITELY the best dancing Internet marketer I personally know.

He’s the guy behind WebCopyCat.com, which is his copy and paste system that helps people that are brand new to internet marketing, plug in and start making money in the quickest and easiest time possible…

So with the intro out of the way, let’s dive into today’s episode.

Here are the questions we asked Devon, and a quick summary of his answers:

  • if you had to pick just ONE thing you are THANKFUL for along your journey…what or who, would that be?

The thousands of failures that he’s had. If you look as failure not as failure, that’s how we learn and grow. His failures also allow him to understand the frustration that his students are going through.

  • Looking back over your journey, did you ever get to the point of quitting or giving up?

9 times out of 10 he failed. He wanted to quit lots of times… But what kept him going was the fact that there is something inside of us that doesn’t allow us to quit… We just keep moving forward. Focusing on the potential awesomeness is also what kept him going. (focused on the desire)

  • Did you ever have a desire to work a JOB or have you always wanted to do your own thing?

The first entrepreneurial moment was in high school. His grandmother sent him $50 for his birthday, and him and his friend bought a book to order an instruction manual to sew and sell fluffy bunnies.

  • What mindsets and beliefs have you adopted that have served you well?

The belief that success is a process, and not an event. Success is a matter of doing the right small things daily… He had to accept this and start being consistent… that’s when things changed for him.

  • what is one specific thing or big breakthrough you can attribute to achieving your amazing results in your business?

One of thing small things he does is record youtube videos and email them to his list. This simple consistent action is what he feels is responsible for his success. It develops the relationship with his audience.

  • When you were getting started on your journey, where did you go to learn?

Part of the reason he failed for as long as he did when first getting started, was because he wasn’t willing to learn. He graduated college early and through he was smart enough and didn’t need help.

  • Many successful entrepreneurs have rituals or habits that they practice on a daily basis that keeps you focused and moving forward…What is something you do consistently every day that helps you achieve your results?

Wakes up around 7am and hit the gym. Get’s started around 10am. Goes through his daily checklist for the day. His assistant comes over and they record a video or two. Then, if there is time, he might take a sales call or two. Then takes a break early afternoon. Usually works 10-3 and 5-8pm.

  • what has been the best investment you’ve ever made, and why?

Hiring quality people to do what he sucks at doing.

  • If you lost everything (except your knowledge) and had to start completely over from scratch tomorrow, what (if anything) would you change about your journey?

First thing he would do is focus on list building. He would go get a job in sales, and then invest all of that money into his business.

  • Why are you in this business? Why do you do what you do?

Lifestyle design – this business allows him to design whatever type of lifestyle he wants. He’s in control of that. Because that is what allows him to contribute the most.

  • Parting piece of advice for our listeners, to help them achieve the results they are looking for.

You can do anything you set your mind to, regardless of your experience. An ounce of action is worth more than a pound of theory.
