Whenever you have  webinar done, how do you let people know about it? How do you promote a webinar?

Well Jill, you asked… we answered.

How To Promote Your Webinar

This is  great question, it’s very relevant.

Webinars are big enough enough things in themselves. But then when you’re finished with all the setup you’re finally left with asking yourself ‘How in the world do I let people know about this webinar? Where do I go and what do I do?’

Promoting webinars can be super simplistic to huge advanced launches and we’ll touch upon them both.

Step 1:

You gotta practice. Your first webinar should be a practice webinar with one or two people. Mainly so you can get used to working the controls as there is a bit of a technology hurdle.

Justin has literally made the mistake of showing up to the wrong webinar! He was teaching on one and everyone was waiting in another webinar!

So make sure you practice before you show up on a wider audience.

After you’ve practiced with no one there…

Step 2:

Practice with a small group, such as your own group, tribe or mastermind.

So you can get good feedback and test out the commenting system etc.

This will build your confidence and help you iron out kinks in your presentation and offer.

Step 3:

If you have a mailing list throw it out to your audience there first.

Then go and promote on Social media i.e Facebook, LinkedIn groups or Twitter.

Big Tip: Tell people you’re just practicing so people will support you. But if you have a great presentation you might get some extra sales!

Try practicing your webinar on different days to see what resonates with your audience.

Step 4:

Who else has an audience who you could joint/ venture with?

Networking and joint ventures could be a very lucrative way to connect with a bigger audience and also provide a lot of value to people.

Joint venturing and leveraging other people’s audience can be, quite frankly, the fastest route to profits.

But there are some numbers you may want to keep in mind before you do so:

  1. Speak in terms of the ‘dollar per registrant’ i.e If they know they can get 300-500 people onto the webinar, and you have a high converting webinar, then speak to them in terms of how much money they should be making, on average, per registrant.
  2. By doing that maths it will be a big incentive for them to promote. Depending on the relationship it may not matter but for newer joint ventures they may be more inclined to promote.

Something else to consider if you’ve done the webinar a couple of times, how can you take the same webinar and try to come up with different angles and different hooks to entice a wider audience.

Consider a Hollywood style big event launch. You can learn A LOT more about this in a lot more detail inside the Invisible Empire members area.

Case Study

We had taken a non-responsive list that had been through a lot of filters i.e ‘If you don’t open, respond or read our emails we will remove you’.

While there was a lot of people on it there wasn’t a lot of response.

We ran this ‘launch formula’ through to that same list. And from a maximum of 200 opens we ran this launch formulas promotion and had 1000’s now open and 350 show up to our webinars.

Take Action…

  • Make a start on your first webinar.
  • If no one shows up, pretend there is an audience and record it so you can re purpose it for later!
