The Backstory:

We were just hanging out at an event where one of the people in the room had purchased a high ticket product from somebody else who was in the room. And when that happens what we like to do is ask ‘Why did you buy?’ We like to look at what really causes people to actually pull the trigger and buy.

And from our investigations we found out that a lot of people buy just because they like you. So when you can become more likable that’s a pretty good skill set  to have. That’s a pretty good thing to have in your arsenal of tools or skills and abilities. That leads to more business.

It sounds so common sense but it does have to be genuine. Your persona is going to precede you. It always comes down to becoming more likable and trustworthy.

How You Can become More Likable

  • When you first walk into the room – Smile!
  • Make sure there’s a specific compliment you can give someone
  • Inject gratitude into something, show appreciation
  • Focus on them and really listen to what they’re saying. Be completely present. Help them feel heard.
  • Give them eye contact
  • Be genuine

When you do those things above to a high level people will remember you for years to come.

Even if you consider yourself an introvert just focus on practicing these skills. Start becoming aware of these steps. Remember: Some people will buy just because they like you

Take Action…

  • Smile!
  • Focus on the other person and practice really listening
  • Jot down at least ONE thing that you are committed to implementing in your business.
