Weekly Roundup #18: EP 123 – 128
Episode 123: Interview – Igor Kheifets
Summary:
In this episode Justin talks with solo ad expert and agency owner, Igor Khefets. We talk about his business model, and the process he takes newbies through to get started making money online.
Main Takeaway:
Igor makes his money building lists and writing emails to that list to sell them something… And his environment plays a big role in getting the emails to “flow” when writing. That’s why he goes to a coffee shop to do all his writing.

Episode 124: Keeping The Attention Of Your Audience
Summary:
Travis asks: “I’ve been building my email list via ad swaps and solo ads for the last few months. My list is growing quickly but it seems that I only have their attention for a few days before they stop opening my emails all together. What can I do to keep their attention longer?”
Main Takeaways:
Traffic source matters… but so does the experience that you create for the new subscriber. (“bad” traffic sources can still turn into long term relationships, but it all depends on the experience you create for your subscribers once they join your list.

Episode 125: Designing A Funnel That Is Right For You
Summary:
Kenneth asks: “I sell a specialized product that solves a very specific problem that all carpenters have. I’m currently selling it from a retail store (not my own) and I’m wanting to start selling it online, but not sure how to go about it. What type of funnel could I setup that would sell my product with the least amount of effort required from me?”
Main Takeaway:
Specialized products that solve specific problems that a specific group of people have are very easy to sell. So a basic funnel made up of a free giveaway, and a 7 part email series will allow you to sell this product online on autopilot with the least amount of work possible. Episode 127: How To Increase Your Email Open Rates
Summary:
Erica asks: “I’m currently selling a health supplement that I did not create. (I am a distributor for the company that makes them) I’m having trouble getting people to buy other stuff from the company once they buy the supplements from my link. They get added to my email list when they buy but hardly nobody is opening the emails I send them. How do I get more people to open my emails?”
Main Takeaway:
If people are not specifically signing up to receive emails from YOU then you will have a difficult time keeping their attention. Make sure your leads are positioned properly and the proper expectations are set. This will help the cause of getting them to open your emails. There are also some subject line hacks that will help… We talk about those more in the full episode.

Episode 128: How To Get More Podcast Listeners
Summary:
Daniel asks: “I’ve been podcasting 3x per week for 3 months now. I would think my numbers would be higher than they are. I’m starting to think its not worth the effort…why would I keep creating a show that nobody cares to listen to. My question is how long does it usually take before shows take off, and what can I do now to get more listeners?”
Main Takeaway:
It takes time to grow a loyal following. Don’t give up now. Stay consistent, and keep looking at the different areas of your content and begin to hone in on what works and what doesn’t. Go get on other peoples shows that are similar to you and plug your podcast. That’s the easiest way to get new listeners.
